Senator Tester to Keynote Chamber Business Days
U.S. Senator Jon Tester will be the keynoter during the Legislator Appreciation Banquet for Business Days at the Capitol 2008. Business Days is the largest general business event of the year for the Montana Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held Thursday-Friday, January 17-18 in Helena.
“We are delighted that Sen. Tester accepted our invitation to speak at this event,” said Karen Beenken, Chair of the Board of the state chamber. “He has been a speaker at several Business Days programs in the past – as a state legislator. This will be the first time he has joined us since becoming a United States Senator.”
Tester is slated to speak at the Legislator Appreciation Banquet the evening of Thursday, January 17 at the Best Western Helena Great Northern Hotel. A reception begins at 5:30 with presentations to winners of the Fall semester of the High School Business Challenge, Stock Market Game, and Economics Challenge slated to start at approximately 7 p.m. Tester’s comments will follow that presentation.
“We have business leaders, local chambers, and others coming from all over Big Sky Country for this event,“ noted Webb Brown, President/CEO of the Montana Chamber. “They will be very interested to hear Senator Tester’s reflections from his first year in office, as well as his plans for the coming year.”
